OBEY: Shepard Fairey - interview

For those that don't know - Shepard Fairey is the man behind OBEY Clothing.
His art & vision represents more then just a clothing brand.

Fairey is relentless in his promotion of freedom of speech and speaking out against corporate America. Fairey also details his view on intellectual property, specifically questioning copyright infringement where one work is the product of a transformation of another (a technique he is most famous for, particularly across the several pieces he produced for Obama’s “Hope” campaign).

The video not only shares the interview, but also showcases a number of relatively new works. Watch & Obey. ;)

Flavour x Obey x Neumath = Inspiration.

For last month's Flavour & Obey Pop-Up Shop, we asked our good friend & all around wicked dood Carlo aka: Neumath to create a giant mural that would cover one of the walls behind Flavour. Take a peek at the video...we are super stoked for all the crazy hard work Carlo put into this project and we can't thank him enough. Giant props to OBEY Clothing for supplying the paint and for supporting the arts.

Flavour x Obey present: Inspiration by Carlo Raponi

Flavour & Obey in conjunction with the Obey Pop Up Shop & the Arts & Labour Party present our new edition the downtown landscape...(drum roll) a giant mural conceptualized & painted by local artist, friend and all around awesome guy Carlo Raponi. The piece is called Inspiration (as cryptically written on the piece. Big thanks to Obey for supplies, Brand Health for allowing us to paint their wall, and of course a huge thanks to Carlo for all his time & hard work. I'm sure there will be another in the future. Ps: Keep an eye out for the stop motion video of the entire mural in progress coming soon!!
