Maybe I'll Just Write...
So here I am, at the Calgary airport... again. And by again I do not mean from previous times but from earlier this morning... meaning 1 am. I realize it's my fault, I'm the one who chose BC but I do hate flying. It sucks. There is nothing to do, I feel disconnected from the world as I put all of my trust in a pilot I have never met and don't really care to be friends with.
As we attempted to touch down in Calgary the first time last night, the pilot decided to turn around and stop in Lethbridge for fuel. His landing in Lethbridge was... let's say not worth the applause some of the passengers awarded him, I however did not. We waited in Lethbridge for what seemed like a year and then decided to give Calgary another try. By this time I had already missed my flight to Abbotsford and into the arms of my dear friends. I wasn't very hopeful I was getting out any time soon. We made it to Calgary, finally, and ended the first half of this very epic trip. They set me up in a hotel, I got to shower... awesome, but not brush me teeth... sorry those sitting close haha.
I await my flight to Abbotsford now and apparently it is delayed... again. Luckily I have good friends to De-boredify me (New word :) Add it to your dictionary.) A call to a friend Josh Glass and caring friends who make sure I'm safe :) I love you all.
As a dear friend (Arby) mentioned, maybe this is a foreshadowing of what God is to bring this year... funny yet also possibly true. Patience, I'm sure, is going to be a very large lesson this year as I learn to live, all over again, with a large group of girls, yet still find a balance. I'm excited, nervous, anxious, frightened and everything else in between.
I going to get a magazine and some Starbucks now!
I love you all
xoxo

And We're Back
After a summer to remember, Newrosis returns just in time for fall fashion, art openings, the Premier and Champions' Leagues, and random excitement galore. We missed you.
Anyway, to celebrate, here is a short film by German artist pilpop titled Little Big Berlin.
From Hypebeast:
Filmmaker pilpop channels his love and appreciation for the city of Berlin with a video titled “Little Big Berlin”. Having spent 19 years in the German capital, the city’s allure comes not only from the architecture that pilpop deems “stunningly beautiful, only its inhabitants make Berlin the unique city that it is.” The video was shot with a Sony HC9 tilt-shift lens.

Suncloud Optics
Now you may be asking yourself, "Wait a second, those glasses look really familiar. Have I seen those before?" And my answer to you is..... "yes, you have."
You have seen them in at least two place:
On FX's original series, "Sons of Anarchy"
and on this guy's head.
If you don't believe me, check him out for yourself in the music video for Eazy E's-Real Compton City G's at around 9 seconds into song.
Freestyle
iceyyyy
I had to mute the song for this video because it wasn't really my cup of tea. However, the video has a few cool shenanigans and quotes. For example, "rock out with your clock out"

adidas Originals -- Spring/Summer 2011 Blue Collection Launch Event Copenhagen
adidas Originals celebrated the launch of the spring/summer 2011 adidas Originals Blue Collection and Originals Denim during Copenhagen Fashion Week. The event was laid out as an exhibition showcasing the ss11 Originals Blue mood images and a video art installation built around a projection on a huge weather balloon linking directly to the name of the line -- adidas Originals Blue. In addition the range was being displayed in the nearby winter garden showroom. Danish up-and-coming girl band Giana Factory performed as a special live gig next to some local DJ's. Check out the recap video that features the Giana Factory's track "Trippin'".
You want me to fill that up with WHAT?
The long sought "philosophers stone" of the biofuel movement is a biofuel developed from waste products. While traditional biofuels require us to sacrifice productive land that could be growing food, waste biofuels are exactly what they sound like: biofuels made from waste like garbage, wood chips, or industry byproducts. The problem with waste biofuel is no one has ever been able to make one that is both scalable and doesn't take more energy to make then it can give back later. Until now.
Scientists are now one step closer to achieving both those goals, and it might surprise you to learn that the fuel that might soon be powering your car is the same thing that currently powers your late night dance dance revolution sessions: whiskey.
Scientists are now one step closer to achieving both those goals, and it might surprise you to learn that the fuel that might soon be powering your car is the same thing that currently powers your late night dance dance revolution sessions: whiskey.
That's right. Scottish scientists have recently discovered a way to turn two byproducts of the scotch whiskey distillation process into butanol, a fuel that gives off almost 30% more power than traditional biofuels. The best part? Butanol can be used in cars with regular combustion engines with no modifications what-so-ever, meaning it could realistically become a part of our gas mixture as soon as production can be ramped up. The researches from Edinburgh University who developed the process have already applied for a patent and hope to start supplying the country with fuel in the next few years.
To be fair, the stuff you'll be putting in your gas tank won't resemble that nice single malt you have stashed under your bed. Heck, it won't even resemble Dewers. Still, if this technology ends up being scalable, it could give a whole new meaning the the phrase "one for the road."
