Kanye West All of the Lights video by Hype Williams

I haven't heard of Hype Williams doing anything since...well...since music videos became irrelevant sometime in the early noughties. Maybe before that, actually; I think the last clear memory I have of him doing anything was that first Missy Elliot joint or maybe Ma$e. Obviously he was at his patent leather best in Mo' Money Mo' Problems.

Anyway, I posted this video because the intro with the little girl followed by the neon type is just disgusting and amazing and great and ripped off from Enter the Void's opening credits, video below.

Hip hop is great and totally has a place in music, but come on. MAKE UP SOME OF YOUR OWN SHIT. This isn't even a sample from 20 years ago, this is a film that was released in 2010. Like, last year. If I was Hype Williams, I'd rather sit on my patent leather laurels than be in any way credited with producing this wholly unoriginal cut-and-paste disaster.

Saving grace: that Rihanna's a bit of all right, isn't she?
