Nike Inc has tapped former Levi Strauss executive Jim Calhoun as the new VP and CEO of its Hurley action sports apparel brand.
Calhoun, who will report to Roger Wyett, Nike president of affiliates, was most recently executive vice president and president of Levi Strauss’ Dockers Brand. Before that he was with The Walt Disney company, rising to executive vice president and general manager for Disney Consumer Products for North and Latin America.
Prior to The Walt Disney Company, Calhoun worked with Nike where he served in a leadership role driving growth for Nike’s basketball business.
“Jim’s strong experience in consumer products and global brand management and his talent as a merchant will be a great asset to Hurley as we continue to connect with consumers and grow the brand globally,” Wyett said.
Headquartered in Costa Mesa, California, Hurley designs and distributes apparel and footwear for surfing and skateboarding.
